Wednesday Etc. is a social club whose primary purpose is to provide opportunities for women to interact with other women for fun and friendship. In addition to social activities, our organization supports several community service projects during the year. We have an annually elected Board of Directors/Executive Committee supported by Committee Chairs and Interest Group Chairs. Membership generally consists of women residing in Rancho Bernardo, Poway, Escondido, and the surrounding areas of North San Diego County, but is open to all women.

What We Do For Fun

Wednesday Etc. is so named because our monthly luncheon is held on the second Wednesday of each month. All members are invited to attend the monthly luncheon which includes some form of entertainment in addition to great food. The entertainment feature may be a special speaker, a fashion show, a holiday program, a boutique, etc. The possibilities are limited only by the imagination of the Program Committee! Information about each month’s luncheon (including cost, menu selection, entertainment event, and location) is published in the monthly newsletter, the Wednesday Etc. Wire.

The club has a wide spectrum of on-going activities which we call “Interest Groups”. These groups were formed to provide like-minded individuals an opportunity to get together to pursue special interests, including activities such as Bunco, Hand and Foot, Poker, Mah-Jongg, Mexican Train, Book Club, Euchre, and Bridge. The groups welcome newcomers and new members are encouraged to join as many of these groups as time and inclination permit. Participation in the Interest Groups is a very good way to get acquainted and make new friends!
